The Cowichan Valley ranges north across the Malahat Ridge from Victoria through
the Cowichan and Chemainus Valleys to Nanaimo, including a cross-island trip to
Carmanah-Walbran Provincial Park.
This slice of southern Vancouver Island covers the country between Port Renfrew
and near Bamfield on the west coast, and Malahat and Nanaimo on the east side
of Vancouver Island.
Cherry Point Vineyard
On the south east side of Vancouver Island is a pastoral setting of rolling

wine grapes. This is British Columbia's newest wine-growing region.
Glenterra Vineyard
Glenterra Vineyards is the garage winery of the Cowichan Valley. Tastings,
with a hands on view of the winery, are a cozy experience here with owners John
Kelly and Ruth Luxton. It is located on a knoll in Cobble Hill,Vancouver Island,
with great views of the valley.
Rocky Creek Winery
One of the newer vineyards in the Cowichan Valley, Rocky
Creek practices organic and sustainable farming and vineyard
practices. The vineyard is designed to protect the ecosystem
on the land. All their wines are VQA and 100% Vancouver Island
grown.
Blue Grouse Vineyard
Blue Grouse is a family-owned and operated vineyard and winery established
as one of the founding Estates wineries of Vancouver Island. Originally from Germany,
the Kiltz family has lived all around the globe. They moved to the Cowichan Valley
on Vancouver Island in 1989 where they established their beautiful home and surrounding
vineyards. What initially started as a hobby, later turned into a full-scale pioneering
business. Since 1993, their elegant wood-paneled wine shop and tasting room has
been welcoming visitors to taste and purchase the wines that Hans and Evangeline
Kiltz have been growing and producing on their land.
